7 Tips That Will Make Your Juice Cleanse Easier

Starting and getting through a juice cleanse can seem like a daunting goal considering you’ll be drinking your meals for at least one day. That’s why we tapped JUS by Julie founder and certified health coach Julie Maleh for her most helpful tips on how to make the juice cleansing process easier. 

 

KEEP THE EXERCISE LIGHT 

“You don’t have to forgo exercising altogether when you’re cleansing, but it’s best to take your typical workout routine down a notch. Moving will increase blood circulation, respiration and sweating, all of which enhance your body’s ability to release toxins during the cleansing process. Shoot for about 20 or 30 minutes of light to moderate activity like yoga.”

KNOW YOUR BODY 

“Yes, the goal of cleansing is to curb your solid food intake, but if your body is telling you something is off (i.e. You feel shaky, light-headed or are having trouble concentrating), eat raw or steamed green vegetables and/or some egg whites. You may just be more active than others, which means your body needs a little more than the juice to sustain itself. There are variations on cleanses, too. One option is a Juice ‘Til Dinner cleanse, which consists of drinking four juices during the day, then having a healthy meal in the evening.”

“Your body is going to need recovery time more than ever during a cleanse. Otherwise you may not feel so great.”
