I was browsing through my friends’ feed on Instagram, and I came across this photo posted by my friend (I encourage you to follow her for inspiration on health and fitness) Lo Christine (@laughalwaysfitness):
I instantly became inspired to prep a week’s worth of smoothies for myself! It had been a while since I made myself a smoothie, so I challenged myself to prepare the ingredients ahead of time, to make it easier to complete a full week of morning smoothies! It was so easy and I felt more energized every morning after my smoothie. No sugar was added, and I didn’t even miss it!
I prepped the smoothies in 7 plastic cups, then zip-locked them and placed them in the freezer. The cups not only served as a way to store the frozen smoothie ingredients, but they held the smoothie once I had mixed it with the Almond Milk in the blender! So It was super easy to stay on track, because I didn’t have to spend extra time looking for a container in which to store the made smoothie.
I simply:
grabbed a baggie from the freezer
grabbed the almond milk from the fridge
mix them together in a blender
poured the blended smoothie into the cup that held the frozen fruit
and enjoyed!!
If you’re looking for some good smoothie blenders here are a couple that I have tried and recommend. For a budget of $15 you can’t go wrong with a Hamilton Beach personal single serve blender with travel lid. Click the pic to see it on Amazon.
If you have a budget of $50 you can go with the Ninja Food Processor which also comes with containers of different sizes. Click the pic to see it on Amazon.
Here are the smoothie flavors I created:
Cherry Mango
Blueberry Strawberry
Raspberry Blueberry
Cherry Peach Spinach
Cherry Strawberry Blueberry
Pineapple Raspberry

I challenge you to the Smoothie a Day Challenge! Which Smoothie flavors will you create?
And, if you’re looking for another challenge to supplement your health this year, check out my friend from my Laugh Always’s Yoga and Mindfulness Challenge! I did and I feel amazing! I learned so much and my body is more flexible and pain-free.

I love this, such a great idea to pre prep and put in ziplock bags!
I was just thinking about adding smoothies back into my breakfast routine, I think I’m going to do it! Thanks for the inspiration.
