I’m getting ready for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. In addition to reflecting on what I’m thankful for, I also take this time to expand my culinary experience to share with others!  I think about how much I have to be thankful for:

  1. health
  2. a job I love
  3. a family that loves me
  4. a partner that compliments me
  5. friends that appreciate me as much as I appreciate them
  6. a community of scholars with which I can network
  7. that I can make a difference in other peoples’ lives
  8. a creative mind
  9. my fur babies
  10. my dream home

I found these Culinary Couture Heat Resistant Oven Mitts on Amazon, and they are amazing!  They provide heat protection up to 662 degrees Fahrenheit! This means they are also industrial strength and could be used in restaurants and other large kitchens.  Check out my video to see how they work:

They were comfortable and heat resistant. I was able to fully use my hands and fingers without them being stiff in the gloves.  I like the red color. It reminds me that they are for cooking (with fire, which is red).  The material is soft on the inside but the gloves are not too heavy.  They are easy to rinse off if they get dirty. I am so glad I got these and I am planning on getting some more for friends. I don’t have a grill, but I could easily see that these are great for grilling!

I can’t wait to use these for my next cooking project!  What are you planning to cook for Thanksgiving?  Here are some of my top dish ideas for Thanksgiving:

1.  Spinach and artichoke casserole

2.  Cranberry Mango Tofurky

3.  Cilantro-Cashew noodles

4.  Vegan Chocolate Cake

5.  Vegan Apple Pie

6.  Vegan Chik’n Pot Pie

7.  Lentil and Sweet Potato Casserole

8.  Vegan Banana Nut Bread Pudding
