With colder weather comes dry air, which can dry out your skin.  It is especially important to use products that are formulated to not only moisturize, but to heal your skin.  I got to try Soapbox Soaps’ Coconut Milk & Sandalwood Deep Moisture Body Wash and Bar Soap for free in exchange for my honest opinion, and I really like them!

The shea butter and olive oil blended formula not only seals in moisture, but also contains coconut oil to intensify my hydrating wash, which is just what I need, since I wash my hands multiple times a day (before and after each patient I treat). Coconut oil, rich in vitamins E,K and fatty acids, is highly acclaimed for its nourishing and repairing properties and will leave your skin at its softest. The rich scent of sandalwood blended with the natural sweetness of coconut will bloom a relaxing aroma with every use.  The bar soap also contains exfoliating apricot seeds, which reveal your smoothest skin. Honestly, every time I used either one of these, I was immediately reminded of a warm summer day at the beach.  What a lovely way to stay clean and mentally motivated at the same time! What’s more, these are paraben-free and all natural!

Soapbox is empowering consumers with the ability to change the world through everyday, simple purchases. Their mission is to offer people everyday, quality products that give back. That’s why for every product sold, a bar of soap is given to a person in need, both here in the US and abroad! Each product has a unique Hope Code, which, if entered, will show you which project your purchase will support!

When I entered my code, I found out that I am contributing to HEEALS (Health, Education, Environment, & Livelihood Society) Handwashing training in India!  Heeals is an NGO, non profit based in North India dedicated to helping the improvised in rural communities. They believe that by starting small and working with one community at a time, they can begin to make changes that will spread gradually throughout India, all the while working hard to create and maintain a self sustaining society.

By empowering their local communities with the knowledge of basic skills in areas such as health, education, environment and livelihood they can begin to ensure that India’s millions of overlooked people have a voice and a chance at a better life.

SoapBox donations help to purchase soap in India and provide that soap in hygiene kits to students at schools HEEALS works with.  HEEALS puts on regular hygiene education programs, educating students on ways of obtaining safe drinking water, how to keep your environment and surroundings clean and hygienic, and that they must follow good hygiene practices both at school and at home.

This is just one of the many projects SoapBox Soaps donates to.  Which one will your purchase contribute to?

I highly recommend you try these yourself.  Use code bestgift17beautyecologist
