As a family doctor, I’m always looking for ways to stay healthy.  Preventing the spread of germs is essential when trying to avoid infection.  Therefore, soap is a natural part of my life not only at home but also at work.  What matters to me in a soap is that not only is it going to work to keep my skin clean but I also want it to improve the health my skin, moisturize it and avoid harsh chemicals.  I also want the brand of the soap to be an ethical one that does not test on animals and practices fair trade practices.

I got to try Soapbox Soaps’ POMEGRANATE & PLUM RESTORING MOISTURE LIQUID HAND SOAP and SEA MINERALS & BLUE IRIS GENTLE MOISTURE BAR SOAP for free in exchange for my honest opinion, and I really like them! They are vegan, cruelty free, organic, fairtrade, paraben free, gluten free, and made in the USA in Indiana.   The containers are also recyclable.

The POMEGRANATE & PLUM RESTORING MOISTURE LIQUID HAND SOAP is only $4.49 USD!

I feel like I am treating myself each time I wash my hands as I restore my skin with this antioxidant-rich pomegranate and plum soap. The juicy, citrus notes of pomegranate are balanced with the sweetness of plum to leave my hands with a scent that is bright, yet not overwhelming. This shea butter and aloe vera blended hand soap not only left my skin clean, but also moisturized.  The lather was so soft and luxurious and was easy to rinse off.  It did not leave the film on my hands.  It does not dry out my hands either, as I wash my hands every 15 minutes.  The aroma is motivating and keeps me uplifted and energized throughout the day.

The SEA MINERALS & BLUE IRIS GENTLE MOISTURE BAR SOAP is only $4.49 USD

Rich with shea butter and olive oil, this bar of soap gently moisturized my skin unlike any bar I’ve used before. The dual hydration leaves my skin clean and hydrated. This bar not only prevents me from feeling stripped of moisture, but it also leaves a light, fresh aquatic scent on my skin with an underlying delicate floral aroma of iris.   The lather of this soap is very rich and moisturizing.  The aroma was very pleasant and I like that it was very comforting and smelled very crisp and clean.

When I entered my code on the website, I found out that I am contributing to HEEALS (Health, Education, Environment, & Livelihood Society) Handwashing training in India!  Heeals is an NGO, non profit based in North India dedicated to helping the improvised in rural communities. They believe that by starting small and working with one community at a time, they can begin to make changes that will spread gradually throughout India, all the while working hard to create and maintain a self sustaining society.

By empowering their local communities with the knowledge of basic skills in areas such as health, education, environment and livelihood they can begin to ensure that India’s millions of overlooked people have a voice and a chance at a better life.

SoapBox donations help to purchase soap in India and provide that soap in hygiene kits to students at schools HEEALS works with.  HEEALS puts on regular hygiene education programs, educating students on ways of obtaining safe drinking water, how to keep your environment and surroundings clean and hygienic, and that they must follow good hygiene practices both at school and at home.

This is just one of the many projects SoapBox Soaps donates to.  Which one will your purchase contribute to?

Entering your code on their website is so easy.
