In the winter, you might be used to dry skin that often accompanies the harsh weather conditions, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay indoors or cover up your face whenever you go outside. There are many skincare products, both natural and store-bought, that can help your skin glow and look healthy through the colder seasons.
Moisturizer with SPF
If you can purchase just one skincare product for the cold-weather season, it should be a good moisturizer. You want something that helps to add in more moisture and really hydrate your skin. You don’t necessarily need a heavy moisturizer, but one that uses as many natural ingredients as possible. Artificial ingredients tend to dry out the skin, so that is something to keep in mind. Still use a moisturizer for your skin type, whether it is dry, oily, or combination. Also, get a moisturizer with SPF 30 or higher so you never forget to protect your skin.

Lip Scrub and Lip Balm
It is also essential that you take good care of your lips. This is a common problem with people in the winter, especially if you live somewhere that has a colder climate. When the gusts of freezing cold winds blow through, your lips get dry and cracked very easily. To remedy this, use a gentle lip scrub before they get cracked to remove dead skin cells and keep them smooth. Also make sure you are using lip balm regularly, including before you leave the house, and throughout the day as well. More is needed when you will be spending more time outdoors.

Hand Cream
Don’t forget about your hands! When you are outside in the winter, your hands might not always be covered, even if your arms, legs, and even your neck are. Make sure you are keeping them moisturized as well with a good hand cream. You can use lotion on your hands but also add in a thick, high-quality hand cream to use at least once a day. This prevents drying and cracking and will have the added benefit of keeping your cuticles soft and healthy at the same time.

Soothing Face Masks
For some people, their skin is too sensitive and prone to irritation with exfoliating products and face scrubs. If this sounds like you, a mask can be your best friend. Masks are gentle and soothing, but really help to improve your skin, reduce breakouts, and ease your irritation instead of making it worse.
